II Ukrainian Tax Forum

The II Ukrainian Tax Forum 2011: tax service reforming in Ukraine according to European standards was held on December 1, 2011 in Kyiv. International non-profit organization Council of Independent Accountants and Auditors with the support of the State Tax Service of Ukraine traditionally acted as the organizer.

The Forum brought together over 200 participants, among them: owners and top officials of Ukrainian and international companies, financial directors, chief accountants, tax controllers and managers, tax authorities representatives, international experts in the sphere of taxation.

The Forum was opened solemnly by the Head of STS of Ukraine - Alexander Klymenko and Coordinator of the World Bank in the financial and private sectors development in Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova – Marius Vismantas.

At the first section of the Forum were presented reports by the Head of State Tax Service of Ukraine – Alexander Klymenko, President of the Academy of Financial Management under the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine – Tetyana Yefymenko, as well as international experts - Chief Executive Officer of the European Federation of Accountants and Auditors for SMEs (EFAA) - Federico Diomeda and Business Ombudsman of Georgia - Giorgi Pertaia.

At the second section of the Forum were presented reports by representatives of Ukrainian and international business: managing partner FinArt Smart Solutions - Mykhaylo Kolisnyk, head of Ukrainian Association of Small and Medium Business “Fortetsya” - Oksana Prodan, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) 5 Channel - Anna Novikova, partner, tax&legal, Audit Company “Aksonova & Associates” - Oleksiy Shmatko, senior partner at Arzinger - Sergiy Shklyar, managing partner of the International Audit Union - Larysa Vrublevska, general director of Ukraine Consulting – Sven Henniger and others.

Business representatives actively made comment on advantages and disadvantages of the Tax Code, shared the experience of Tax Code application in the current year, and also expressed their expectations regarding the creation of an effective dialogue between STS of Ukraine and business for the next year.

The third section held the tax debate on "Partnership in the tax sphere ."

II Ukrainian Tax Forum has traditionally become an effective platform for communication and exchange of experience, finding effective solutions and creating constructive dialogue as well as the atmosphere of trust in tax environment of Ukraine.
